THE NICKY – BUMP-AND -RUN
THE NICKY
The NICKY is a bump-and-run club. A bump-and-run shot has the most control on any approach shot to the green. A fault in the bump-and-run shot is the choking down on the club. Choking down puts the hands on the thinnest part of the grip and allows the wrists to break easily.
POSITIVE PSYCOLOGY
The NICKY puts positive psychology to work in the mind of the golfer; it puts the golfer in the putting mode which allows for a precise shot. The NICKY is fitted the same length as the putter (SEE FITTING) and uses a putter grip to prevent the wrists from breaking. The loft is of a seven iron and the base is wide to allow for a gliding bounce on the turf without digging in.
Positive psychology goes to work again in the mind of the golfer in that the profile of the NICKY is low and makes the ball look bigger. Having the ball look larger relaxes the golfer’s mind as to not flub the shot.
THE STROKE
The putting stroke is all that is needed. The club head will do the work. Force is calculated by weight times speed of the club head and at a weight of just under a pound the ball explodes off the club face.
HOLING-OUT
Holing-out from forty feet is very possible so a good read of the green is a must!
THE FACE
The club head is groove less to allow for low back spin. As the ball rolls up the club face when struck, the ball will naturally have a little backspin.
UNIQUE FEATURE
The NICKY can also be used as a warm-up club before each round as well.
